About these terms

This website is run by Silver & Shine, No. 155/18, 1st Floor, L.B. Road, Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai 600041, Tamil Nadu, India ("we", "us", "our"). By using this website or placing an order, you agree to these terms, together with our privacy policy, delivery policy and return & refund policy. Please read them before you order.

Using the website

• You must be 18 or over to place an order.
• Please give accurate details when you create an account or order, and keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• You agree not to misuse the website, for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, copying content in bulk, placing fraudulent orders or interfering with its security.

Products, photos and descriptions

We describe and photograph our pieces as accurately as we can. Please keep in mind:

• Many of our products are handcrafted, so small variations in finish, colour, size and weight are natural and are not defects.
• Colours can look different on different screens. Weights and dimensions, where shown, are approximate.
• Some products do not have a photograph yet. We are happy to share photos or a video on WhatsApp before you order.
• Silver purity, where stated, is as declared by our suppliers or as marked on the piece.

Prices, offers and taxes

• Prices are in Indian Rupees (₹) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout. Shipping charges are shown separately at checkout.
• Prices of silver and brass pieces can change with metal rates. The price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.
• Offers and discount codes are valid for the period stated, cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be combined unless we say so.
• If a price is shown wrongly because of an error, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you make an offer to buy. The email or message confirming your order means we have received it. A contract is formed when we dispatch the goods.

Many of our pieces are one of a kind. If a piece becomes unavailable after you order, or if we cannot verify your order or payment, we may cancel all or part of the order and refund you in full for the cancelled items.

Payment

We accept UPI, credit and debit cards, and NEFT bank transfer. Card and UPI payments are processed by secure payment partners, and we do not store your full card details. NEFT orders are processed when the payment reaches our account, and may be cancelled if payment is not received within a reasonable time.

Return gifts, bulk and custom orders

• We confirm the pieces, quantity, price, packing and delivery date for return gift and bulk orders in writing, by email or WhatsApp, before we begin.
• An advance payment may be needed to confirm the order and reserve stock.
• Once sourcing or packing has started, these orders cannot be cancelled or returned, except for damaged, defective or incorrect items.

Delivery, risk and returns

Delivery timelines and charges are explained in our delivery policy, and returns, cancellations and refunds in our return & refund policy. Both form part of these terms. Responsibility for the goods passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave.

Gift notes

If you add a gift note, we include your message as you wrote it. Please do not include anything offensive or personal information you would not want the recipient to see. We may leave out a message that breaks these terms.

Content and trademarks

The Silver & Shine name, the swan logo, and the text, graphics and photographs on this website belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy, reuse or sell them without our written permission. Some design photographs are used under licence from their creators.

If you send us reviews, photos or feedback, you allow us to use them on our website and social media, with your first name, unless you ask us not to.

Liability

We are responsible for losses that are a foreseeable result of our failure to meet these terms, up to the value of your order. We are not responsible for indirect losses, or for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as courier disruptions, natural events, strikes or customs holds. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Indian law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Links to other websites and services, such as WhatsApp, payment gateways and courier tracking pages, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. We will always try to resolve a concern with you directly first. Any dispute that cannot be resolved is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, without affecting your right to approach a consumer commission.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order applies to that order. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid, the rest still applies.
